Awesome arcade, but extremely disappointed in paying full price for a device that is being shipped to all customers broken. The dip switch settings which are a advertised features do not completely work. The stage selection option is broken and after reaching out to customer service who has not responded in months, the only excuse is that " they will ask the factory to build these. How to fix the problem". Clearly a small company dealing with big company issues, but at this price you expect them to either release a firmware fix or an announcement that a fix is coming.
I do not recommend enthusiast or collectors such as myself to spend money purchasing these at full price from official vendors or retailers. Buy it used on the third market if they're going to treat us like used third market customers.
Awesome craftsmanship and the game play is the best!! Just like I remember! Can’t wait ti buy my next game thanks so much!
As a display piece, it is beautiful, and this is one of my all-time favorite games. However, the joystick issues render it largely unplayable. It would be great if there was a mod to make it a four-way joystick, which would likely improve the playability immensely.
This Quarter Arcade Machine is Solidly built.
Very detailed looks including the finest tiny details as well.
It plays Incredibly well for its size & is enjoyable to play..
It looks so good next to all of the rest of the mini arcade machines that I have in my collection 😀
Thank you Numskull Designs for continuing the mini line of extremely cool video game machines.

Lack of quality control on the joystick issue makes this game UNPLAYABLE. They just announced a re-release but no mention of they have corrected the problem via hardware. I would not recommend buying this if the joystick issue wasn’t addressed.
And if it was, they should offer exchanges to those of us that were disappointed with our purchases.
Quality…. Perfect gameplay, challenging, exactly as I remember it from ‘79… HOWVER, this “quarter scale” replica is not 1/4 scale in the most important way possible. Its display is noticeably UNDER scale, which is unfortunate because it’s rather hard to see… expect to need reading glasses. Apart from that, the display is clear, and really does look like a vector display. The thrust control is very responsive/smooth. Artwork is great… and shipped doubly protected with a beautiful inner box complete with carry handle (a good idea to keep if you plan to bring it with you).
Hi there,
Lunar Lander has been an excellent choice. The mini arcade plays smooth, brings back fond memories of the early/mid 1980s when it was, along with Asteroids, being replaced in Spain by the new, more powerful color machines. Because of that, these black and white "old" vector cabinets were cheaper to play (though expensive to master). When I saw the "Eagle has landed" on the screen... LOL it's more real than the 1969 TV show! ;-)
As a suggestion you may consider, I think publishing a dedicated book for every mini arcade would be a great idea. Should you decide to do it though, we all retro fans would love some intense read. A nice design with awesome and revealing pictures is a start, but it's the in-depth technical hardware/software coverage, and the insightful interviews, that elevates a book to the must-buy status (I love some of the "Boss Fight" books). Casual and non-technical readers would enjoy the artistic and "lighter" content, but it's the deeper knowledge of how the machine operates and the history details leading to its inception/design/implementation/deployment choices that makes a classic book you love to keep in your library (the heavier chapters can be skipped anyway by the casual reader). Maybe some kind of collaboration with Retro Gamer would be possible.
That's all. Keep the good work, we love these machines.
Best regards,
Santiago F.V.
PS: I hope Missile Command is high on your upcoming-projects list!
Simply fantastic! As with all other Quarter Arcades, the attention to detail is superb. The emulation of the game seems spot on and the vector graphics are recreated very well. I’m lucky enough to have played on an original full size lunar lander, and I think the feel of this reproduction of the thrust lever is excellent. Overall, one of my favourite QAs, it will take centre stage in my collection
I've collected nine quarter arcades from numskull and there all just perfect but Luner lander is totally different instead of just fighting or solving puzzles you require some extra skills to land the Lunar module and it makes you feel great when you achieve touch down and with more challenges ahead you need to be a good pilot.
So I would definitely recommend this game .
Great cabinet, great attention to detail
Packaged well, nice weight, looks great. Took it out of the box charged it up turned it on the lighting looks great played it on the easy setting please just like I remember played it on the hard setting I couldn't land definitely something to have to work to would recommend if you like this game
Amazing item. Well built. Displays well. Plays great. Brought back the memory of being in the arcade as a kid. Just wish the controller issue was fixed , which seems to make the character freeze from time to time. I also purchased burger time and elevator action. Great for collectors
Your products are amazing. I have most of them just trying to save up money. I would love to get the Luna Lander that thrust control looks amazing. Keep up the good work
As always when it comes to Quarter Arcades, the quality, the accuracy, the attention to detail is what you expect! And it's always surely delivered here! Another quality cabinet and another one added to the collection.
This thing is awesome. 11/10 would buy again.
While it is a beautiful machine that I wanted to love, the use of an 8-way joystick in a small form factor renders the game frustratingly unplayable (the issue being that if you don't move the joystick perfectly horizontally or vertically on the zoo levels, your character will freeze (and, likely, die)).
This 1/4 cabinet is probably one of their best looking/unique control scheme cabinets yet. The analog thruster gives the feel that you are actually controlling the space capsule. I have not played an original Lunar Lander out in the wild but have played it on Mame and the Atari 50th collection and this blows those out of the water with having the correct controls.
If you’re on the fence and have a little extra disposable income, buy this and you’ll definitely enjoy it. Also the mini poster and light look phenomenal.
This 1/4 scale cabinet is absolutely stunning in appearance. From the curved marquee to the grey coloured build, it just takes you back to a time when these games were new and in the arcades. I was never a massive Bad Dudes fan back in the day but I am super happy to have this one in my collection and the controls work perfectly, complimenting the original game ROM. Overall it's a great looking cabinet with a decent game and fun gameplay, well worth the price to add to your 'arcade' as well.
I am quite pleased with the appearance, size and authentic game play offered here for a fraction of the cost of an original Lunar Lander arcade board-set and cabinet. Not to mention it takes up a a lot less space than a full-sized machine! While not something I would be holding weekend tournaments on, it will definitely look great on the shelf, and even better when running in attract mode between occasional game sessions. The controls have an excellent feel to them and are very responsive during gameplay. I found charging the internal battery to be quite a lengthy process (~ 5hrs) but with a reasonable amount of game/attract mode run time (~ 4 hrs) in return. Overall, I am very satisfied with my purchase and will be collecting additional Quarter Arcade machines from Numskull. Also since this is the Collector's Edition, the added poster and lamp (both 1/4 scale) were a really nice touch!
Absolute quality replica arcade once again
